Japan Bans UAVs over Public Parks and Gardens

Japan’s drone revolution comes to an abrupt landing following the ban instated by The Tokyo Metropolitan Government. This ban prohibits people from flying drones over 81 parks and gardens in Tokyo. The lawbreaker will be booked under the ordinance which is treated as “an act that causes hindrance to the management.” Moreover, there is also a penalty of ¥50,000.

This ban comes in light after a drone was identified on the roof of the prime minister’s office. The drone was reportedly carrying a small amount of radioactive cesium.
