Timeless Design, Smart Within. This is how Huawei is introducing its first Android Wear flagship, Huawei Watch. Made of sapphire crystal, this smartwatch is sophisticated and gorgeous to say the least. What isn’t gorgeous are the video clips and airport ads, the OEM has planted all over Barcelona to grab the attention of the invitees of MWC 2015.
The sapphire gives the 1.4 inch round smartwatch the needed toughness to withstand the time. While it does heart rate monitoring, track your sleep or daily health in the terms of calories burnt or steps covered, at the heart, it still is a watch and looks like a watch too. The navigation button is at the right top and takes you to the setting. The website states that the Huawei Watch features intelligent data tracking (no details on this.)
You can also dial the frequently dialed numbers and send them text messages. A slide to the left or double tap on the crown will lead you to the app launcher. The built-in mic lets you speak to it. Powered by Qualcomm APQ8026 1.2GHz, only a 300 mAh battery juices the system to get through the day. The flagship is equipped with sensors like PPG, barometer, vibration meter, gyroscope an accelerometer.
The AMOLED screen with 286ppi resolution is impressive. The straps are available in fine-grain leather or stainless steel, which give the watch a stunner look. Over 40 watch faces will be available. The color option for cases available will be gold, silver and black. The watch will also feature Google Now, which will allow you to have entire world on your wrist.
