Amazfit, a US-based wearable tech company, has introduced their first ceramic-based activity tracker. The device looks stylish, slim, sleek and allows the wearer to track and record calories burned and distance travelled. It will also monitor sleep quality and receive incoming call vibration alerts. Available at a retail price of $80, the tracker is more or less affordable. Amazfit wearables are now available on Amazon.
Amazfit is owned by Huami, the exclusive provider of wearable technology for Xiaomi. Amazfit’s Equator and Moonbeam wearables are the latest devices to come from Huami. Huami is currently the second largest manufacturer of wearable technology in the world.
Amazfit is one of the slimmest, most lightweight activity tracker in the world and it comes with a totally new design. There is no display and doesn’t look like a tracker at all. It’s got a jewellery-like appearance that sports features found in most fitness trackers. Due to no display, the battery life boasts 10 days of usage after which you’ll need to recharge it via a wireless charger.
Speaking of the two stylish wristband Moonbeam and Equator, Moonbeam is a white ceramic shell encased in a rose gold-plated metal frame. It is surrounded by a premium white leather wristband. Equator, on the other hand, has a sleek sophisticated design. The ceramic shell is surrounded by a simple band with black or rose gold colour options. There are interchangeable accessories available to suit your mood.
“We’re excited to further expand our success into the U.S. market,” said Frederik Hermann, Head of U.S. Marketing and Sales for Amazfit. “Amazfit is dedicated to developing beautifully designed products that seamlessly integrate into people’s lives. We want to encourage people to make healthier decisions on small, everyday activities, such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator, that contribute to an overall healthy and active lifestyle.”
